The Sag Harbor Pool Company was incorporated and started business in 2003. The initial focus of the Company was, and continues to be, to provide weekly maintenance and related services to local homeowners with swimming pools and spas. Concurrently we began doing pool and spa renovations which was followed closely by the construction of new pools and spas.
We are fully licensed and insured. The Towns of East Hampton and Southampton require that all contractors, including pool service and construction companies, be licensed. We also maintain a full array of insurance including automobile, disability, health, liability and workers compensation. All our insurance is maintained by companies that are rated no less than "A" by A.M. Best.
All our staff is paid on a year-around basis as we strongly believe in keeping our experienced and highly skilled employees as part of the Company. Employees are offered health insurance and the opportunity to participate in a 401(k) investment/retirement plan.
We experience very little turnover among our client base which is usually limited to changes in home ownership. Most new clients are the result of existing client referrals.
Because of our location and its climate limitations, we usually begin opening pools and spas around April 1st of each pool season and start closing pools and spas after Labor Day. In-door pools and spas are serviced on a year-around basis and some of our clients leave their outdoor spas open all year. We also offer a winter watch program during the off-season where pools and spas are visited and attended to on a monthly basis.
All clients sign an annual contract and are offered the option of paying either by check or credit card to include an "opening" deposit. Invoices are sent out at the end of each calendar month.
